ABOUT THE MOVIE

A quiet summer. A hidden magic. A change he can’t undo.

When fifteen-year-old Marser is dragged to Oak Lake for the summer, he expects boredom, awkward locals, and a forest town he never asked for. But after a mysterious blue light leads him to the forbidden Old Root Clearing, Marser is transformed into a blue-furred creature connected to the magic hidden deep within the woods.

Now, with unstable transformations, family secrets, a suspicious rival, and a new friend who may be the first person he can truly trust, Marser must decide whether to keep hiding from who he is — or embrace the part of himself that could save the people he loves.

Full of heart, humor, mystery, and magical forest adventure, MARSER is a coming-of-age story about identity, belonging, and finding the courage to be seen.

THE Director

Devin Henrickson

Devin Henrickson is the creator and director behind Marser, an original animated film project born from a love of storytelling, worldbuilding, and character-driven animation. He wanted to create a film that felt personal, imaginative, and emotionally honest — something that could capture the feeling of being different, searching for where you belong, and discovering who you are. Inspired by animated films, cinematic environments, and meaningful character journeys, Devin began developing Marser as a passion project to build a world and story that feel both magical and real.
